From a God to a King is the tenth studio album by South African singer Kelly Khumalo, released on 14 February 2023 through Universal Music South Africa.[1] Production was handled by Mondli Ngcobo.[1]
Release and promotion
[edit]The Standard edition of From a God to a King was released on 14 February 2023.
To further promote the album Khumalo performed her first annual Gospel Explosion Concert from 15–16 April at Johannesburg's Lyric Theatre.[2][3]
On 28 April, following the success of the two dates, she added one more date that was held at Vaal on 28 May.[4]
In late August 2022, Kelly announced the From a God to a King tour, which began on 17 September, Carnival City, Boksburg.[5][6]
The album's lead single, "Bazokhuluma" featuring Zakwe and Mthunzi was released on 4 November 2022.[7]
From a God to a King's deluxe edition was released on 31 May 2024.
